The Borderstone Village Pump is a remarkable reproduction of one of our most readily identifiable pieces of street furniture.

Creating a faithful replication of an iconic design, Borderstone artisans have crafted an object with timeless appeal to add character to your garden, patio, or landscape. The pump is fashioned in fine weather-resistant cast stone for an authentically lifelike appearance, just like the original iron varieties.

The black finish with gold lettering which depicts "Stratford Pump - Harvest Stone 1878" is highly realistic and the pump it will make a wonderfully realistic ornament wherever located.

This self-contained water feature, with an included pump that recycles water from the trough basin, adds a traditional element to any garden, as a decorative feature or as a working water feature with the spout.

Setup Notes

The trough is designed to be used as the water reservoir with the included water pump set inside. Pipework from the pump within the trough basin is designed to loop over the back of the trough basin and connect to the inlet on the front of the village pump, allowing for continuous self-managed water flow.

To protect from frost, the village pump and trough basin should be drained before the colder winter weather sets in.

Deliveries are kerbside , however if there is access with the pump truck the courier will put it on the drive

They will never take the products further than this and will never unwrap the package

The courier will not take away the packaging .

Coverage

  • Up to 12m² per litre per coat on smooth or planed timber.

Actual coverage will vary depending on the surface texture and porosity.

Application

  • Apply with a quality synthetic brush, roller or HVLP sprayer.

  • Can be applied in temperatures as low as 0°C (do not allow the paint to freeze in the tin or on the surface).

  • Touch dry and ready for a second coat in approximately 30–60 minutes in warm, dry conditions.

  • Clean brushes, rollers and tools easily with water.

Number of Coats

  • 2 coats recommended for maximum exterior protection.

  • 1 coat is suitable where more frequent maintenance is planned.

  • For UV Clear, 3–4 coats are recommended for optimum protection.

  2. You will receive an email notification informing you that your package is with the courier to be processed for delivery, along with a tracking number and details so that you can track your parcel.
  3. Smaller packages such as sample tins are sent via Royal Mail’s 48 hour tracked service. We selected the 48hr service as this is the most environmentally friendly option with the lowest carbon footprint. 
  4. We use reputable courier companies and Royal Mail to deliver our goods to try and ensure safe delivery. However, it must be remembered that damage and delays can be caused in transit and we do not take any responsibility for any additional costs incurred due to damages or delays.
